Aluminum Shutter Finish

Pretreatment

If aluminum is not properly pretreated, the paint will not adhere no matter how high the quality of the paint. We use a five-stage, full-immersion pretreatment process. Its 20-foot long dip tanks provide for complete submersion of the aluminum - cleaning and coating the product both inside and out. Pretreatment provides for cleaning, degreasing, etching, deoxidizing, desmutting, rinsing, and application of a prepaint bonding agent to assure proper adhesion of paint.

Painting

Paint is applied with hand-held E.S.P. (Electrostatic spray painting) spray applicators. This helps to assure complete coverage. ShutterTime only uses the highest quality, environmentally compliant, T.G.I.C. polyester powder coating. Virtually any color is available.

Baking

All standard paints used and are baked to a minimum of 350 degrees Fahrenheit for at least ten minutes. Its oven is capable of baking to 550 degrees Fahrenheit. Thermosetting paints provide for a long-lasting, more scratch resistant, and harder finish.
