The US Wildlife Service approached us with an interesting dilemma. They had a building that housed a fishery project in the far Northwest of Oregon. Each year they were faced with broken windows due to snow loads. The windows were 10' high and the snow piled up against the windows and simply crushed the windows and caused large loss of fishery stock. Sounds like a simple project doesn't it! The kicker was the building was in a Historical district and the solution had to satisfy the requirements of the local historical society. We provided Colonial style shutters with a backing of solid aluminum that provided excellent protection for the building and met the aesthetic requirements of the Historical society.
