Security Options for Rolling Shutters
According to research, 50% of all break-ins happen through windows. Most are committed by occasional thieves, not prepared to face obstacles.
Aluminum and steel rolling shutters put up an optimal resistance against attempts and are effective barriers to intrusion. We offer a large range of accessories which can be installed in different points of the rolling shutter to avoid lifting and/or unhinging from the guide rails, which increases the security against thefts.
Locking Systems for End Slats
1. Aluminum or Steel Security Latch
Composed of a specially formed aluminum or steel bar and a PVC anti-slide handle; fixed on end slats; manually operated and introduced into the wall and lateral guide rails; prevents bottom lifting of the shutter.
2. Reinforced Steel Security Latch
Composed of a steel bar and locking handle; fixed on the end slat; manually operated and introduced into the wall and lateral guide rails; avoids bottom lifting of the shutter.
3. Key Lock
The thumb-lock (with knob) operated from the inside and the key-lock operated both from the inside and outside can be fixed. Composed of two aluminum bars, this latch enters first into the guide rails and second, into the wall, preventing any undesirable shutter bottom lifting.
4. Intermediate Locking Systems
One profile slat fixed at required rolling shutter height. It is manually operated and introduced into the wall and lateral guide rails; avoids bottom lifting of the rolling shutter.
5. Automatic Locking System
Available in different versions for 44mm and 55mm profiles,; fixed on roll tube and on upper rolling shutter's profile; usable with crank and motor operations. It engages automatically when the shutter is in the closed position keeping the shutter from being pulled up from the bottom.
