Legends Roll Shutters are the most convenient and popular storm and security protection available today. Rolling shutters can be designed into your home or business so there is little visual impact, or easily installed on existing buildings. And while Roll Shutters may have the highest initial cost, they provide the most practical, effective and convenient protection available.

Rolling shutters can be operated using electric motors, manual gears or a pull-tape system, from inside or outside the building. A multiple roll-shutter installation using electric motor operators can have a central control system that will open and close shutters on a timer or automatically close all shutters if the wind exceeds a certain velocity.

Things to consider:

  • Rolling shutters require enough room above the opening for the hood, and room on each side for tracks
  • Obstructions such as exterior lights should be considered when evaluating an opening for wall mount installation
  • Decorative banding around a window or door may require special installation steps
  • Lap-style siding in vinyl or wood requires special installation techniques
  • Not suited for custom shapes such as arches or angles
